STUDENT PROGRESS

Hello, families!

I have begun putting student progress marks into Powerschool, so please be checking on how your child is progressing through the lessons in weeks 1 and 2.  If your child is just getting his or her Chromebook, don't worry, just have them begin working through week 1 - especially the math lessons and silent reading.

In Powerschool, you should be looking for checkmarks, a notation that means, "collected."  That means that I have seen your child's work and he or she has completed it for that week.  In this period of online learning, we are keeping track of progress, without letter grades.  As of right now, I have 11 students that have completed everything for week 1 - way to go!  However, there are 5 more students that have wifi and a computer that have made little to no progress.  Parents, please be checking with your child DAILY to see what is on their schedule for the day.  Have your child show you their Google Classroom.  Once a student has FINISHED a lesson, the icon on the left (it looks like a dot with a clipboard) will be grey, not a bold (blue, I think) color.  If it is blue, then you know that they have not completed the lesson.

Again, if you have any questions, let me know.  Here is how you can get hold of me:
     * Office hours on Google Meet - 10-11am M-F (I post the link daily);
     * Message me on Facebook (this is the quickest way to an answer);
     * Email me at lbouche@eskymos.com;
     * Check out my blog for updated info: lbouche.blogspot.com;
     * Call or text at 906.399.**** (text is best/fastest at this number);
     * Message me on the Classtag app.
EVERY message that I send out, I send in multiple ways to be sure that everyone gets it.

Have a great Tuesday!
